The New European Bauhaus (NEB) Innovation Challenge seeks startups that embed sustainability, inclusion, and beauty into their business model to address key societal challenges:
Reconnecting with nature - Solutions that bring people closer to natural environments and integrate nature-based approaches
Regaining a sense of belonging - Community-building initiatives that foster social cohesion and cultural identity
Prioritising places and people that need it most - Solutions targeting underserved communities and areas needing transformation
Fostering long-term, circular thinking in industry - Sustainable industrial practices and circular economy innovations
Target sectors include:
Climate technology and environmental solutions
Food systems and sustainable agriculture
Manufacturing and industrial innovation
Mobility and transport solutions
Circular economy applications
Creative industries and design
Wellbeing and quality of life improvements
The challenge provides a €22,000 grant plus tailored mentorship, workshops, EIT-wide events access, and investor matchmaking for early-stage startups (pre-seed to early Series A) that demonstrate revenue or received investment.
