EDF Pulse Awards 2026: Innovations to Accelerate towards Net Zero
Winners receive €15,000, tailored support, and access to EDF's ecosystem and Alumni Network
EDF seeks innovative startups to accelerate the energy transition and build a CO₂- neutral future across five strategic categories:
Strengthen health and safety prevention measures: Solutions to protect field workers by strengthening enforcement of essential safety rules and innovative approaches to improve workplace health.
Accelerate and expand electrification: Low-carbon electricity generation technologies supporting energy sovereignty and solutions to electrify uses across industry, buildings, transport, and agriculture while addressing climate and energy independence challenges.
Manage and leverage flexibility: Technologies to manage electricity demand, optimize production, store energy, and make the power system smarter and more flexible.
Improve operational efficiency: Solutions that save time, streamline operations, boost customer satisfaction, and explore AI, robotics, additive manufacturing, or IoT systems to reinvent construction, operations, and maintenance.
Enhance environmental adaptability: Solutions to strengthen resilience of industrial facilities against climate change impacts, explore regenerative development practices, site repurposing, and innovative approaches to reduce environmental impact.
The challenge is part of EDF's mission to build a net zero energy future with electricity and innovative solutions. Since 2014, the awards have supported 2,590 startup applications, with 109 supported startups and 40 winners contributing to decarbonization efforts globally.
