DB Regio is seeking innovative, purely data-driven approaches to intelligently process existing position data and enable track-accurate positioning around the clock.
The challenge focuses on:
Track-accurate positioning in areas where multiple tracks run close together or vehicles are parked
Real-time or near real-time processing (approx. 50 messages per second in production)
Scalable solutions that work transparently with access to source code (no black box)
Data quality improvement of existing location data using algorithms and data processing
Operational viability for 24/7 nationwide train positioning system
FzO-BO criteria validation for output data
